XClipper Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information XClipper (the "App") handles and why.

1. Saved videos and metadata

Saved video files, thumbnails, and metadata such as titles are stored only on your device and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud private database. The developer has no access to this content.

2. Referral system

To provide the invite-code feature, the following is stored on the developer's server (Cloudflare):

An anonymous identifier irreversibly derived from your iCloud account or device (it contains no personal information such as your name or email, and cannot be reversed)
Your invite code, invite counts, and code redemption records
Temporary access information for abuse prevention (daily usage counts per IP address)

This data is used solely to grant referral rewards and prevent abuse.

3. Purchases

All purchases and billing for paid plans are processed by Apple. The developer never receives your name or payment details.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

On the free plan, the App uses Google AdMob to serve optional rewarded ads. Google may collect device information and advertising identifiers to serve ads. See the Google Privacy Policy and Google Advertising Policies. Users in the EEA and UK are shown a consent screen before ads are served.

5. Analytics

The App uses no analytics or tracking tools other than the above.

6. Data deletion

On-device data is removed when you delete the App. iCloud data can be managed from your own iCloud settings. To request deletion of referral-system data stored on our server, contact us below.

7. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page.
